Privacy Policy
Effective June 5, 2026
Talarion, Inc. (“Talarion”) is a Delaware company. This policy explains what we do with personal information we collect when you visit talarion.com, connect to our MCP server at mcp.talarion.com, or otherwise use our research_brief tool (together, the “Services”).
Where Talarion handles data as a processor for a business customer, the customer’s agreement governs that processing — not this policy.
Most of the context the Services return comes from publicly available web data and from prior agent assertions. Some of that material may not qualify as “personal information” under privacy law; we still treat it as covered by this policy.
Using the Services means agreeing to the practices described below.
What we collect
From you, directly
When you set up an account or write in, we collect:
- Contact details — name, email, and organization. Used to create your account, run the Services, and reply when you write in.
- Credentials — API keys and any account preferences you set. Used to authenticate requests to the Talarion MCP.
- Anything else you choose to share in a form or email.
Query data
The research_brief tool accepts free-text queries and an optional model_id identifying your model (for example, an OpenRouter id). We use the model_id you provide to filter results to facts that postdate your model’s training cutoff.
- Query Data may be used to evaluate and improve the Services, including training and tuning models.
- If you need to send us something personal, use a business contact field or email instead.
From your browser
When you load our website we record routine analytics — device and browser type, an IP-derived approximate location, the pages you visited, timestamps, and similar interaction data. Some of this comes through cookies and other tracking technologies, including those operated by analytics vendors we use.
From third-party identity providers
When you connect to the Talarion MCP through an OAuth flow from a client like Claude, Cursor, or VS Code, we receive whatever account information that client passes through — typically just an identifier and email — and only what you have authorized that client to share.
We cannot vouch for the accuracy of information we receive from third parties or for their own privacy practices.
Aggregated and anonymized data
We may strip identifiers from your data and use the resulting aggregated or anonymized data for any lawful purpose. Once data is deidentified, we keep it that way; we will not try to re-link it to you.
Cookies and tracking
The Services rely on cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, run analytics, and improve the experience. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Services may stop working if you do.
We do not act on browser “Do Not Track” signals.
When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We do share it in these situations:
- Service providers. Vendors that host, secure, support, or analyze the Services on our behalf.
- Professional advisors. Lawyers, accountants, and auditors when we require their expertise to operate or improve the Services, or to meet legal obligations.
- Corporate events. If Talarion is acquired, merged, or otherwise reorganized, your information may transfer with the business.
- Legal and safety reasons. To respond to lawful requests from authorities, defend our rights, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect users, employees, and the public.
- With your consent. When you direct us to share something.
The Services exist to return context in response to Query Data, so by design we hand the resulting content back to whoever made the query.
Children
The Services are not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we discover we have, we will delete it. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under 13 who has shared information with us, contact us and we will remove it.
Data retention
We retain account information, Query Data, and related operational records (including model identifiers and the responses we return) to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Services, and to meet legal, accounting, or similar obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and circumstance.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by writing to contact@talarion.tech. We may need to verify your identity, and some requests may be subject to legal exceptions (for example, where we are required to retain certain records).
Security
Sign-in is handled by a third-party identity provider (Clerk), so we do not store user passwords ourselves. We apply standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information we do hold. No system can guarantee perfect security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The “Effective” date at the top of the page reflects the latest version. For material changes we will make a reasonable effort to notify you. Check back occasionally to stay current. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Services.
